Cataracts are more commonly age related ; However doesn’t have any age restrication .It may be seen in all age groups . It may also occur due to injury to eye, chronic intraocular infection and due to prolonged intake of oral or topical steroids.
The main symptom is blurry vision. Having cataracts can be like looking through a cloudy window.

Cataract surgery removes your clouded lens and replaces it with a clear artificial lens called an IOL . IOL can be used to correct all ranges of vision including distance, intermediate , near vision depending on the need of the patient .
